"Torchwork Tuesdays" is a four-hour primer on the basics of
working with a torch, glass rods -- the art of bead making. With torch
work you can get finished projects in just moments (instant gratification)
- a far cry from the world of fusing. We go over safety, talk about the
materials and terminology, demo the first few steps and then you try it.
This process is best learned with lots of hands-on time. After you
make a few basic beads we demo a few more things. You do some work,
then another demo or two, then lots of time on the torch. All materials
are included. Learn to pull stringer, clear casing, tips to
"make-it-round", spots, dots, raking and more! This is
just fun ...you should take a weekday off and give it a whirl.
